Warranty
Most major ceiling fan manufacturer will offer a lifetime warranty on the motor of the fan for indoor fans and 10-30 years for outdoor fans. The housing, blades, blade arms, paint, electronics, and other snall parts have a one year warranty against the date of purchase. As with most manufacturers, their warranty covers the part only. Labor is paid by the consumer. The processing of the warranty differs from manufacture to manufacture. Some have an RGA worksheet to turn in while others have you call their parts division for replacement.
Generic brand ceiling fans at hardware stores and department stores do not offer any warranty because of the price point of the fan and its quality.
